Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a clan of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to traditional music as well as old boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana likes tangos as much as operas and other dramatic kinds. She began singing and learning musical instruments with her mother she began her more intensive vocal instruction when she was 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of numerous opera groups and chamber choirs. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She is a current member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in classic Latin American music at private occasions. As a teacher and musician she's committed to numerous community projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana has been previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly among younger people, for keeping this music living.
